ARTIST NOTES: "Sliding a wave removes our brains out of the ordinary and slips us into the extraordinary of being there now - no more worries about mortgages or strife of being poor or rich. When you enter the domain of an ocean cylinder, that moment, those split seconds belong to the Zen part of just being. Period." Bill Hamilton. The ocean beautifully rude; rolling in large waves, deeply brightly blue, breaking everywhere into foam. You never really know what's coming. A small wave, or maybe a big one. All you can really do is hope that when it comes, you can surf over it, instead of drown in its monstrosity

ARTIST BIO

I'm mixed media abstracts expressionist artist based in QLD. Most of my work is develop in small projects or series, where a detail or a technique that gives an interesting result in one painting may lead me off in a new direction for the next.

I began studying to paint at 6 years old at Fine Art School and later I spent 4 years through Art college where concentrated on art history, classical art and modern design.

My paintings are greatly influenced by modern art and childhood spent in Europe, reflect travel, experiences associated with nature, places, people and sounds, which are intertwined with vibrant colors, textures and lines. This is a sculptural interpretation of the images and emotions accumulated in my life.

In my artworks the themes of femininity, harmony, the joy of life and fantasy. Creativity for me is a way of knowing the world, an opportunity to share my joy with the viewer and jointly experience a moment of happiness, each delighted to be surprised at the versatility of the world.
